Job Vacancy: Technical Sales and Marketing Engineer – Renewable Energy
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)
Role Summary:
As a Technical Sales and Marketing Engineer at Nevadic, you will be crucial in promoting and selling our renewable energy solutions. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and marketing skills to effectively communicate the value of our products to clients and stakeholders.
Responsibilities:
Technical Sales:
- Act as a technical liaison between the sales team and clients, providing technical expertise and guidance during the sales process.
- Identify client needs and propose tailored renewable energy solutions to meet their requirements.
Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify potential clients, industry trends, and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze data to develop targeted marketing strategies and sales campaigns.
Product Positioning:
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our renewable energy products and their technical specifications.
- Work with the marketing team to create compelling product positioning and messaging.
Client Engagement:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, understanding their technical requirements and aligning solutions accordingly.
- Conduct product demonstrations and presentations to showcase the benefits and features of our renewable energy solutions.
Sales Collateral Development:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to create sales collateral, technical documentation, and presentations for sales efforts.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical information is available to the sales team.
Lead Generation:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities through lead-generation activities.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company’s network.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in engineering, marketing, business, or a related field with technical expertise in Renewable Energy
- 4 – 7 years of proven experience in technical sales and marketing within the renewable energy sector.
- Strong customer engagement, negotiation, and management skills
- Proven marketing analysis and consulting skills with the ability to develop and execute innovative sales and marketing strategies
- Excellent communication, time management, and project management skills
- Familiarity with software applications including Microsoft Office Suite, Productivity tools as well as marketing automation software
- Strong team player with the ability to effectively collaborate across multiple functions and teams
- Ability to work independently as well as influence and persuade others to achieve desired outcomes
