Job Vacancy: Technical Sales and Marketing Engineer – Oil and Gas Services
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)
Role Summary:
As a Technical Sales and Marketing Engineer at Nevadic, you will be a key player in driving our sales and marketing efforts within the oil and gas services sector. This position requires a unique blend of technical expertise, sales acumen, and marketing skills to effectively promote and sell our services to clients in the oil and gas industry.
Core Responsibilities:
- Technical Sales:
- Serve as the technical point of contact for clients, understanding their needs and presenting tailored solutions.
- Collaborate with the sales team to develop and execute effective sales strategies.
- Client Relationship Management:
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key clients in the oil and gas sector.
- Conduct regular client visits to understand their technical requirements and address concerns.
- Product Knowledge:
- Develop a deep understanding of our oil and gas services, technical specifications, and industry applications.
- Provide technical guidance to clients and internal teams to ensure effective communication.
- Market Research and Analysis:
- Conduct market research to identify industry trends, client needs, and competitive landscapes.
- Analyze data to contribute to the development of targeted marketing strategies.
- Sales Collateral Development:
- Create sales collateral, technical documentation, and presentations.
- Ensure accurate and up-to-date technical information is available for use in sales efforts.
- Lead Generation:
- Proactively identify and pursue new business opportunities within the oil and gas services sector.
- Attend industry events, conferences, and trade shows to expand the company’s network.
- Market Positioning:
- Collaborate with the marketing team to develop product positioning, messaging, and branding strategies.
- Ensure a consistent and compelling market presence.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Sales/Marketing, Business Administration, or a related field
- 3 – 7 years of experience in technical sales and marketing in the oil and gas industry
- Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate technical concepts to technical and non-technical audiences
- Strong understanding of oil and gas industry trends, customer buying behavior, and competitive landscape
- Excellent organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects in a timely and detail-oriented manner
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships and work collaboratively across functions and teams
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
