Job Vacancy: Accounting and Finance Officer
Location: Lagos, Nigeria (Hybrid)
Role Summary:
As an Accounting and Finance Officer at Nevadic, you will play a vital role in managing the financial aspects of our operations. The role will be located in Lagos but some work from home is acceptable. The Accounting and Finance Officer will be responsible for managing financial reports, accounts payable and receivable, payroll processing, and
conducting financial analyses. This position requires a skilled professional with a strong background in accounting, financial analysis, and regulatory compliance within the energy industry.
Responsibilities:
Financial Reporting:
● Prepare and analyze financial statements, reports, and forecasts for
internal and external stakeholders.
● Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulatory
requirements.
Budgeting and Forecasting:
● Collaborate with department heads to develop and manage budgets for
various projects and departments.
● Assist in the preparation of financial forecasts and variance analysis.
Financial Analysis:
● Conduct financial analysis to support strategic decision-making.
● Provide insights into key financial metrics and trends to facilitate informed
business decisions.
Cash Flow Management:
● Monitor and manage cash flow to ensure liquidity and financial stability.
● Implement effective cash management strategies to optimize working
capital.
Tax Compliance:
● Coordinate and oversee tax compliance, including the preparation and
filing of tax returns.
● Stay updated on tax regulations and advise on tax planning strategies.
Audit Coordination:
● Facilitate and coordinate external audits, ensuring accurate and timely
completion.
● Implement recommendations from audits to improve internal controls and
processes.
Financial Policies and Procedures:
● Develop and implement financial policies, procedures, and internal
controls.
● Ensure adherence to accounting standards and best practices.
Qualifications:
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
● 2- 5 years of proven experience in accounting and finance roles, preferably within
the renewable energy industry.
● Excellent communication skills
● Proficient in Microsoft Office and accounting software
● Experience in financial analysis and reporting
● Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
● Professional certification such as ACCA, ICAN, or CFA is a plus
Preferred Skills:
● Knowledge of renewable energy incentives, subsidies, and financing
mechanisms.
● Familiarity with project finance and risk management.
